MARCH 5TH 2026

written 3/4/26-3/5/26

This first journal entry is VERY messy but I'll try to make my next entries more cohesive.

It’s been nearly a year since I worked on this site. I was in my sophomore year of high school, now I’m a junior. Which really isn’t a long period of time, but there’s definitely been a lot of changes in my life. I don’t want this site to just be a side project, I also want to host my portfolio here.

Last year, I had the plan of going to college for computer science. I was in a computer science class, which has always been a big interest of mine. Since I was young I’ve been super interested in computers, viruses and all things tech. The class sparked my interest in pursuing higher education and prior to this I really wasn’t sure what my plans would be after high school. This was around the time I began working on this site. After the end of the school year I lost interest in working on the site, pretty much forgetting about it.

Once September rolled around and I was back in school, I attended a college fair. I was mainly looking at computer science programs but I stopped at a table for MIAD (an art school). It made me reconsider everything. Before I was interested in college, I did think about a career in art, but I never really considered going to art school, especially with how the online art community talks about it. After this I also got to go on a small field trip, going to 3 colleges and looking at their art programs.

Currently, the classes I’m in and are most interested in are geology, digital electronics, art and ceramics. Next year, I’ll be taking the next level of art and ceramics, clothing construction and design, radio drama and graphic novels, public speaking and creative writing. I’m glad to be taking a lot of creative classes that seem really interesting to me.

I hope to polish this site over time. I’m still busy with school, and being in my junior year I’m about to take my ACT this month so I’m quite stacked with work to do. I’m also hosting a Touhou art collaboration, planning to be finished on August 15th (the first day of Comiket 106). This summer, I’m also going to be doing a lot with the college prep program I’m in, and I’ll probably be working more hours, so even with school over I’m still going to be quite busy.
